Akhbar alyoom- Axios reported that U.S. President Biden hung up on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu during their latest call, providing new evidence of the widening dispute between them due to the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza for the past 100 days. The U.S. website noted that the last time they spoke was on December 23rd last year, during the abovementioned incident
Before hanging up, Biden reportedly rejected Netanyahu's request for Israel to release Palestinian tax revenues it is holding. The site quoted U.S. officials, stating that "Biden and senior officials in his administration are disappointed with Netanyahu for refusing Washington's requests related to the war."
It pointed out that there is growing evidence that Biden is losing patience with the Israeli official, confirming that the U.S. administration is concerned that Israel will not abide by its schedule for de-escalation in Gaza. Citing a U.S. official, Axios mentioned that Secretary of State Antony Blinken clarified to Netanyahu and the Israeli war Cabinet during his recent visit to Tel Aviv that 'Israel's plan for the day after the war is an unattainable dream.'
The website added that Blinken's recent visit to Israel has led to “disappointment” within the White House and the department.
